Five on Wednesday #8

FROM TOP LEFT: Cushion, La Redoute | Adidas Adilette wooden sole slider flats, from ASOS | Leopard and black dress, & Other Stories | Silver ‘Elwood’ backpack, Tiba & Marl | Stripe teepee, Acorn & Pip

CUSHION lovin’, happened so fast. You’d think this was a find from a North African adventure wouldn’t you? Well you’d be wrong. Because this little dumpling is from La Redoute – yes, LA REDOUTE. I love the stitching and texture of it. Plus it’s such a bargain you can afford a couple and TOTALLY pretend a personal shopper found them for you in the Marrakech souks.

SLIDER SHOES got me like, yeah, it’s almost summer and they’re flatforms, so YEAH let’s do this! Cushioned soles, old school Adidas three stripes and a cool monochrome combination means these sandals will dress down a pretty summer dress, but look brilliant with rolled-up jeans too. I love.

LEOPARD ladies of the world rejoice. This & Other Stories dress was online for AGES but kept saying ‘coming soon.’ And it just didn’t – in fact, it didn’t appear for a very long time despite me checking, possibly more than I should do, on a daily basis. But I just think it’s the most fabulous piece. It’s high necked, long sleeved and midi (my holy trinity of prim-ness), but the sequin leopards wrapping themselves around the shoulders and cuffs make it so modern and cool. It’s also a sophisticated way of paying homage to what is clearly the best animal print ever.

BACKPACKING. Seriously who actually cares that this is a baby changing bag? My babies are LONG out of the nappy / bottles / wet-wipes / spare fourteen changes of clothes phase, but I absolutely love this ultra cool metallic backpack from Tiba & Marl. FYI, I may not have the need for it as a baby changing bag these days, but I find these beautifully designed accessories perfect for other kids activities. I’m using this cool black nylon one by Jem&Bea as a super stylish swimming/change bag. The multiple compartments and spaces make room for everything from goggles and caps to wet towels. So even if your babies aren’t babies any more (sob), there are still reasons to self-gift. But also, what an amazing new baby present – totally unisex too.

TALKING OF BABIES, check out new online brand Acorn & Pip. They have a beautifully edited, mindfully-chosen collection of brands from Noé & Zöe, Buddy & Bear and Fanny & Alexander covering kids clothing, decor and gifts. This teepee (also available with a hot pink or yellow trim) is definitely on my list for the new playroom when it’s decorated.
