Last week I had a complete pinch-me moment.
I was invited – along with an amazing group of women – to a pre-LFW rifle through the heavily-laden, designer rails at The Outnet‘s stunning HQ in Westfield, London. I KNOW. PINCH. ME.
I had been invited by Naomi Mdudu from The Lifestyle Edit, who wanted to introduce us to the SS16 collection from The Outnet’s own line, called Iris + Ink (you can check out my favourite pieces at the end of the post.)
Along with Petro Stofberg from Wardrobe Icons, Freddie Harrel from Freddie Harrel / She Unleashed, Anna Hart from South Molton Street Style, Anneli Bush and Sarah Mikaela from Framboise Fashion, we were completely and utterly spoiled with our own personalised rail of clothes (which we’d selected before we arrived) for us to try on for size.
And after we’d picked our look, superstar photographer Candice Lake was on hand to take our photographs (seen in this post).
Food treats were created and made by the very talented Lucy Abdullah – and when I say treats – oh man! The brownies (decorated with purple pansies, so pretty) were the nicest I have ever eaten. And considering I made batch loads when pregnant that I thought were amazing, that’s saying something.

As we’d been asked to pre-select our clothes, it was obvious there had been a few favourites which appeared on several rails. The Elvira longline sheepskin gilet I am wearing was a popular choice, as was the satin-trimmed crepe midi skirt, worn by Freddie, Petro and Sarah.
If you haven’t checked out Iris + Ink on The Outnet yet, they’re a really good place to head for brilliant work-wear. Great cashmere knits, simple silk blouses and luxe separates that will all mix and match with your wardrobe. I’ve picked some of my favourite pieces below, but check out the rest of the collection here.
Huge thanks to The Outnet, Naomi Mdudu / The Lifestyle Edit and Candice Lake for an amazing afternoon
