MMM {wears} Designer shoes on a budget

Ah, shoes. Love them.

But give or take a few extravagances, I rarely spend a fortune on them, because – well, frankly, I can’t afford to. And while I know there are those who prefer to save up and buy designer, the high street is very clever at coming up with styles that get the look (in some cases, very similar to the original!).

Last summer I bought – along with most of my fashion editor friends – New Look’s Aquazzura-style flats (above).

Italian label Aquazzura have beautiful shoes, no doubt about it. But at around £400 per pair, their designs are unfortunately wishful, lottery-winning thinking on my part.

So here are some current high street picks that do have a hint of the brand about them – for quite a lot less money.

(And just to make it super clear, the styles with the star next to them are the high street versions).
