As my bio suggests, I quite *like* shoes.
Over the years I have amassed quite a special collection – the leopard print Jimmy Choos I wore to my wedding that one day will be Lila’s, the cork Louboutins that meant rent went on the credit card. I’ve even kept my 8-hole DM’s (with the rainbow stitching) bought with money earned babysitting every weekend aged 16.
So yes, I love shoes.
I also love the fact that the British high street offers some of the very best in fashionable, stylish footwear choices out there, meaning you really don’t need to spend a fortune on your feet.
One place in particular kept cropping up as I admired the shoes of fashionable friends – and that was Next. Once the preserve of sensible suits for work, it’s gradually become a destination for the style conscious – with cool little picks that would surprise anyone.
After seeing one particular pair crop up everywhere, I had a little look online myself and was actually spoilt for choice. And yes, I was surprised.
So here – in conjunction with Next – I have come up with twelve days of party feet to showcase their party wear collection.
Because if now isn’t the season to treat yourself to a couple of new pairs of going-out shoes, I’m not sure when is.
And no, they’re not all heels.

Thanks to NEXT for their help with this feature.
Have a lovely weekend everyone xx

Maretta

Erica
Hi Maretta! It’s from Zara – they have them in a few colours x
Nicole
You look amazing in all of the pics but I must say I adore your hair in shot one! Just had my hair cut to a similar length as yours. How do you style it? x
Erica
Aaah thank you Nicole! It varies – if I am in a wavy mood I wash it, add some serum (I like Moroccan oil), leave it to air dry and add a bit of Bumble and Bumble Sumo cream once it’s dry to define the wave. I have had quite a few requests for a hair post so will definitely put one up in the new year! x
Assuntina Tarallo
