It’s hot, it’s cold, then it’s hot again and oh wait, I’m freezing.
While the weather can’t seem to make up it’s mind, my (many) new coats are waiting patiently in the wardrobe. But I have to admit that I’m enjoying being able to still wear my sandals.
WEARING…

This week I will mainly be channelling Paris Vogue Editor Emanuelle Alt by wearing black and navy.

Despite thinking for years you shouldn’t, I LOVE this colour combination – super chic.
I’m teaming a Marks & Spencer men’s cashmere crew neck with a new purchase, these love ’em or hate ’em leather-look trousers from Zara. I have to say, I purchased them thinking they would definitely be going back (that’s how I shop online) but they are so comfy – a bit like tracksuit bottoms, but cooler. They’ll be my go-to trousers this Autumn, guaranteed.
The slip-on trainers are ASOS and the bag is a sample from Village England, but similar here.
A favourite way to wear is with the simple navy knit teamed with leather. Here’s some other black and blue style inspo:

CHECKING OUT…
I met up with the people behind cool new kids label Angel & Rocket this week – and I wanted so many pieces for Charlie and Lila!

Co founder Philippa Cloete answered MMM’s questions about the new label – plus why she decided to launch it in the first place.

“Why I started Angel and Rocket…”
After having my two girls I became so interested in children’s wear it took over! I stopped shopping for myself and only for them. I soon realised there was nothing out there that reflected the style and individuality I wanted my girls to have. Everything at an accessible level was bright and garish or lacked any thought and quality. I wanted something unique and contemporary with touches that were subtle but would make me love it. As a result Angel and Rocket was born. Our vision is that it is contemporary and has a beautiful palette, attention to detail and a touch of humour that both children and parents will love.
“My favourite new season piece for boys…”
One of my favourite pieces for boys is our Ridge jumper. It is so simple and understated, yet offers a cool contemporary feel than can be dressed smart or casual. We love it with our Jacob jeans, a clean ticking stripe shirt and it would look great layered with our down gilet.
“And Autumn’s must-have for the girls…”
It’s hard to single out one piece, but it would have to be the precious jewel sweatshirt. I love it worn with our subtle colour tutu, as well as with our gorgeous Bella grey wash jean and layered with our grey fur gilet. the shape is contemporary with a slightly curved hem and slouchier fit, but the subtle burnished pink embellishment and the pretty bow back make it feminine and has been a firm favourite with mums and children alike!
Angel and Rocket launched online yesterday, check out the full collection here.
HAVING A BLOW-DRY…
Fine Feathers Make Fine Birds, according to hot new blow-dry and updo bar Duck and Dry – who invited me down to road test their services and sup a glass of Prosecco. Don’t mind if I do, thanks.
Set along London’s Kings Road, it’s in the perfect position for the Made in Chelsea set (in fact Binky and Rosie are already regulars) – but it was so charming that my South-East London self felt right at home there.
Founded by former finance manager Yulia and haircare brand FUDGE’s global ambassador Snowden Hill, it has only been open a matter of weeks, but already has some pretty esteemed clientele. Kate Moss’s favourite make-up artist Mary Greenwell was sitting next to me, while former Bond girl Maryam D’Abo looked fabulous at the booth next to her.
Book online or on the phone for any of their eight signature blow-dries or updo’s, although walk-ins are also accepted.

PS THE BODEN SPARKLE FLATS ARE NOW IN!
So back in May, myself and every other fashion editor who attended the Boden Autumn preview fell hook, line and sparkly diamonds for these bobby dazzlers.

Well they’re NOW IN STOCK. Available in navy, gold or black, I’ll take them in every colour please.
Treat yourself, they’ll look amazing with a sharp trouser suit AND with jeans and a sweatshirt.
Have a great weekend everyone xx

I know what you mean about kid’s clothing. Having three boys I really struggled to find half decent stuff that didn’t have stupid things written on them. Love the blow dry by the way and goes without saying on the jewelled flats – mmmmm F x
