These mirrors hang in my living room. Before that, they hung together in my flat and before that, three of them belonged to my friend Debbie – who sold them to me when she moved back to Australia. I found two others in a charity shop and now they all live happily ever after.
I’ll never get rid of them, mainly because I love them, but also because I LOVE the way they form an instant art collection, make a wall statement and are really useful all at the same time.
Mirrors are one of the easiest things to make a collection of – plus you can pick up really cheap ones in charity shops or antique fairs.
With any collection, start off by laying them down on the floor until you get a configuration you’re happy with. Or invest in multiple small shelves (Ikea’s picture rails are great).
There’s perhaps a fine line between being ultra chic and slightly OCD (some of those on Pinterest are a bit out there – a stairway filled with vintage rug beaters anyone?!), but here are some that have caught my design eye.

Do you have a collection of things? Would love to see…

Oh I love your mirror collection – that’s inspired me to do something similar with a bare wall I have in my lounge. Regarding the other pics – I’m digging the camera one (though conscious of the dusting issue) but that wooden spoon one is putting the fear of god in me – I’m sure my mother had something similar to choose from when punishment was being doled out in our house – no joke – wooden spoons were the weapon of choice for all Irish mammies!!
