It’s the weekend – thank the Lord.
It’s been a manic week of work, Christmas in July press days, managing home/work logistics and – perhaps most excitingly – taking Charlie to meet his – eeek – new big school September class mates (and randomly bumping into an old Uni friend, whose son will be in the same class!!)
Anyway, I am SO ready for the next couple of days off.
How’s your weekend shaping up?
This will be me:
WEARING…

I’ll be wearing:
- MIH ‘Phoebe’ jeans (now in sale)
- Topshop Hawaiian tunic (bought for the beach, but I love the colour and print)
- ASOS White plimsolls (How amazing is this colour?)
DREAMING ABOUT …

On Wednesday I popped along to a sneak peek of The White Company‘s Christmas preview. Heaven. This little slice of comfort on a stick – right here in this photo – is my ultimate bed. They pretty much had to drag me away from tucking myself up in it. And don’t even get me started on the cashmere onesie (available for Christmas time).
The clever folk behind TWC also gave us a brilliant tip while we were there – perfect for me, who struggles to find matching pillow cases at the best of times (never mind iron them properly, if at all). They suggest that once you have ironed your set of bedding, you should fold it neatly and slot all of it into one of the pillowcases so you know exactly where the matching bits are. Genius? Yes! You’re SO welcome!

PS, exciting news! MMM is going to be part of the The White Company Collective, so look out for more on this lovely brand v soon.
TRIALLING…

We’ve all been asked to road test these amazing Sun San and Saltwater sandals and we received our parcel this week (which obviously went straight on). While they’ve been in the US for seventy years, they’ve only recently been brought into the UK and with their retro styling and gorgeous colours have already proved a big hit. I mean, even Jessica Alba’s daughters have been wearing them! We’ll be posting our thoughts on them soon.
MOISTURISING…

Both the kids have been suffering really badly recently with patches of eczema and I’ve tried everything, from E45 to Aveeno, Oilatum and Doublebase cream. I’ve just stumbled across this, Hope’s Relief Therapeutic Skincare range, Australia’s #1, selling twice as much as anything else on the market out there. It’s free from any nasties, including sodium laurel sulphates, parabens, coal tar or artificial colours or fragrances. What it DOES contain are high strength herbal extracts including Aloe Vera and Active Manuka Honey (which my mum swears by). It’s going on them religiously – I will let you know how they get on with it.
COOKING….

Love, love LOVE this retro cook wear brand, so I am determined to get my cook on this weekend and use my gorgeous Falcon Enamelwear Bake Set.
Also, look out for new regular MMM {eats} posts. Don’t expect Masterchef, DO expect chucking-it-all in recipes that’ll work for a quick and healthy family tea (I’m Northern, it’s tea).
Have a lovely weekend everyone x

Oh! Those sandals! Those plimsolls! Want, want, want. And is it bad that I actually got a bit excited about your pillow case tip? I know. I need to get out more. Love The White Company – our posh towels are from there and nothing else compares in the towel stakes since we’ve had them!

I know Molly! SO GOOD! I had to be prised off things at the event #NotCool x

For my daughter’s eczema I use a product from Inlight, it is all natural and shifted her eczema after about 4 days and she’d had it for months and nothing else had worked (just after starting school actually, stress possibly and very hot classrooms!). Google Inlight ecz-easy I think it’s called. Great blog, really enjoy it x
Erica
Thanks Alison, that’s really helpful x
