I am thinking about introducing Lila to the idea of potty training soon. She’s almost two and quite likes looking at the brand new pink potty we have installed in the bathroom. She even quite likes sitting on it – fully dressed of course. It’s only a matter of time – and then we will be nappy free!
Over the past four years, I dread to think how much we have spent on nappies. And that’s even after realising pretty early on that hey, cheaper brands work just as well as the known names – who knew!?
Despite that, these things always add up, so this month I have been on a nappy economy drive.
I challenged myself to see whether I could get everything I needed for Lila for a week – for under a tenner.
So I headed to Superdrug, whose My Little Star range has all the basics for not a lot of cash.
This is what I have been using:
TOTAL COST: £5.93
I was really impressed with the wipes – which were awarded silver by Nursery Trader in the Best Baby & Toddler Gear category. They didn’t irritate her sensitive skin, yet I didn’t need to use lots to clean up. The easy up lid was brilliant too as it meant they could be chucked in my bag and used for changes as well as tidying up for the rest of us while out and about.
Nappy bags are what they are, but considering the price – these were robust, plus they have a pleasant fragrance which always helps!
I really recommend these for the price. I mean, £3.50 for 25 is pretty good…And you know how many of those you get through a day.
At that kind of price, perhaps I will put off the potty training for a little while longer…
