Hmmm. My favourite Monica Vinader ‘nugget’ ring has disappeared. I know it hasn’t been stolen which leaves two possibilities. Either my brain is becoming more sieve-like by the day, or ‘someone’ has ‘tidied’ it up or ‘given’ it to ‘Bob the Builder’ for his ‘building site.’
I know it will turn up somewhere, but either way, I need to be more careful.
Which has got me thinking about how I do actually store my copious amounts of (costume) jewellery.
At the moment it’s quite haphazard, but I do always get storage envy when I see walk-in closets featuring actual designated drawers. I even once worked with a celebrity who had fashioned amazing back-of-wardrobe-door hooks to hang her hundreds of necklaces in neat rows. And super-stylist Rachel Zoe suggests using tool boxes with the little compartments which I always thought was quite clever, although I’d prefer Muji’s perspex ones personally.

Here are some other cool ways to store your jewels – and keep your fingers crossed mine turns up.
