So in that imaginary game we play once a week (at least) where we spend thousands of pounds we don’t actually have, at the moment it’s all about the garden. Specifically what we would do to the garden.
We have a very nice little garden – considering we live in London. It’s not big, but not too small, but we inherited a lot of planting that we’re not that keen on. Plus there’s a rotting decking area at the bottom with two fruit trees which bear very little of anything particularly edible.
My husband is getting right into planting new things, so we’ve dug a lot of the old out and have replaced with a whole border of herbs and loads of lavender – which reminds us both of our honeymoon in France.

What we would love to do is ditch the decking and the rotten trees and create an area at the back where the kids reign supreme – so playhouse / trampoline / sandpit kind of thing.
I’d also like to get rid of the little wall at the front and have a wide patio-width step up. I am constantly terrified we’ll have situation faceplant after an energetic run down the garden.
Ho hum. Lots of potential, but until we can afford it, here’s some of my inspiration.
