I’ve been wanting to do a post on crochet for a while as it has suddenly become COOL – remember this picture of crochet lanterns from a post I did a couple of weeks ago?
Plus, I’ve been looking for some kind of crochet pouffe for my baby’s nursery.
Then I was totally inspired by the lovely ebabee blog, who did a post on an amazing Argentinian mum who creates the most gorgeous crochet and embroidery toys and, well, just lovely things.

The site, Miga de Pan, doesn’t have an online shop as yet, but you can contact the designer directly if something takes your fancy. I love her sophisticated use of colours for kids – espesh her ‘Nordic’ palette of grey with zingy lemon.

The crochet toadstools and stools of textile designer Anne-Claire Petit have been on my nursery wish-list for a while. And her soft toys are just gorgeous, check out this brilliantly indestructible tea-set too (also available in the red and white spot).

Crochet isn’t just for grannies you know.
