My Style: Toning with the leopard skirt

Leopard print is my homegirl. It’s the print that has stuck by through my student youth, through to my office days and beyond. It’s my go-to pattern of choice, regardless of whether it’s in fashion or not.

Khaki trench coat, Marks & Spencer | Black cashmere crew neck, Marks & Spencer | Leopard skirt, Marks & Spencer  (also in zebra print here) | Bag, Marks & Spencer | Shoes, & Other Stories | Sunglasses, J Crew | Photographs: Debs Stubbington / Bang On Style

It is – in the words of an ex-fashion editor – a style classic. And so, wherever leopard lies, I will seek it out.

This midi skirt is from Marks & Spencer and it’s quite possibly the most perfect transition skirt (and have you seen in here in zebra?) This means it’ll work as brilliantly now with tights, knee high boots and a cashmere crew neck as it will as the temperature warms up when you can go bare-legged.

I’ve worn it in a very office-wear friendly way, with this chic khaki trench coat and cute leather mini bag.

The leopard adds a spot (get it!?) of print, when you can keep everything else muted.

And there will always be room for more in my wardrobe.

Post written in association with Marks & Spencer, but all photography, words and styling my own.
