Given my current obsession with all things palm print, I could NOT ignore the coolest kids collaboration – set to launch next week.
And it is beyond dreamy.
Little House of Hackney x La Coqueta is a unique collaboration because as well as including the brand’s iconic palm and leopard prints, they’ve also worked with the V&A museum to create two new patterns, based upon artworks by artist C.F.A. Voysey, whose work is housed in the V&A’s collection.
And given La Coqueta’s traditional styling, the designs all offer simple, easy-to-wear shapes, including hand-smocked, A-line dresses, baby bonnets (all lined in the Wild Card leopard! I MEAN!) and classic shirts.
House of Hackney Co-founder Frieda Gormley says, ‘We love children to be dressed like children, which is exactly what La Coqueta does so beautifully. We are excited to collaborate on this range that juxtaposes traditional childrenswear with our inaugural collection of whimsical prints.’ And Celia Muñoz, Founder of La Coqueta Kids says, ‘La Coqueta’s heritage mixed with a bit of East London edge adds to the surprise element that our customers look for every season.’
I absolutely LOVE this collection and as well as injecting a bit of fun into classic pieces – you would definitely get your money’s worth, as they would all make beautiful pieces to pass down the family.
It will sit alongside their interiors range – which includes wallpapers, lighting and fabrics as seen in this image of the Hotel Providence in Paris.
