I am very much a leopard kind of a gal. In fact, since I was a teenager, birthday and Christmas gifts from friends and family alike have all been of a feline nature.
Recently it had to stop – there are only so many cushions one can stuff on to a sofa and to be honest, leopard home wear isn’t really my bag.
But recently I had a lot of comments after wearing this coat on Instagram and realised that finding a good leopard coat is high up on the radar for many of us.
My leopard (faux, thanks very much) is a very, very old find that I bought on my travels to Portland, Maine about fifteen years ago. (In six inches of snow. But that’s another story).
For me, it’s used as a neutral, so in the same way I might wear a pair of metallic shoes. Ie, with everything.
A great leopard coat is a fashion classic that just works, whether you’re teaming it with denim or over a smart office look. Clash it with florals? Great! Mash it up with stripes? Yes!
With all that in mind – and because I know there are a lot of leopard lovers out there – here are some of my favourites available RIGHT NOW.
1: Topshop | 2: Malene Birger at Net A Porter | 3: Ganni at ASOS | 4: Marks & Spencer | 5: Mango | 6: The Kooples at Stylebop

Love this blog post! I’ve just taken the plunge and ordered my first leopard print faux fur coat. (It’s Per Una but don’t tell anyone ;))

Yay! Welcome to the gang! (And per una do some great things, you sometimes just need to give it a good edit!) x

This is true! There are some real gems if I get over my Per Una prejudice and take a closer look 🙂 x

And ignore the lime green tartan! 🙂

So I collected the coat, had a crisis of confidence and got a refund. Then this week, my M&S loyalty vouchers arrived and a 30% discount for Black Friday, so I ordered the coat again as a birthday present to myself. Confidence restored 😉

Thanks Lisa! Honestly, once you think about it as a neutral, you’ll be wearing it with everything! x

It’s good no leopard was hurt during the making of this coat. Really nice one, you get some attention while wearing it.
