MMM: Genius idea for pregnant friends (and you can win one!)

The subscription beauty box industry is booming. The idea is that you subscribe and then each month you receive a box full of new sample, travel and full size beauty products to ‘try before you buy’. While you can’t choose what’s in the box, you are profiled at the start to make sure your preferences are taken into account.

It’s a brilliant idea for beauty junkies who want the latest products and brands out there.

And now there is a specialist subscription beauty box especially for the pregnant ladies and mums out there.

My Beauty Bundle was started by brother and sister team Kevin, a sales and marketing professional and Hannah, a journalist after a lightbulb moment just before Kevin became a dad to twins Louie and Lexie (now two).

Hannah says: “It was actually Kevin’s wife, Melissa that became the inspiration for My Beauty Bundle.

“When she was pregnant she used to often talk about needing to feel pampered. So every month Kevin began making her a little bundle of goodies including chocolate, lip glosses, anything that would make her feel special. As you can imagine, being pregnant with twins and running a business from home (she runs Fit4mum, a mummy fitness company) was a handful.

“She told her friends what Kevin had done for her and they ALL said ‘I wish I could have been treated each month!’

“Those that already had children also commented that they needed it even more after becoming a parent.

That was when the penny dropped! I spend most of my time in Los Angeles as a journalist for the UK press and was already a member of a subscription beauty box over there. I just thought, ‘why not do the same for pregnant women and new mums?'”

Despite living across the pond Kevin and Hannah worked together to discover what natural products were out there that would be safe for mums-to-be to use and that you wouldn’t be able to pick up everywhere.

Every brand they use is 100% natural and organic, including Weleda, Green Baby and Little Me Organics.

Now Hannah is a mother too – to a 4 month old baby girl, Henley – and she gets the ‘need to be pampered’ even more!

It’s a great idea for a friend who is just about to pop, or even a mum who just needs spoiling.

And MMM have teamed up with My Beauty Bundle to offer ONE reader a three-month subscription absolutely free.

Just leave a comment to say why you or your friend deserves a pamper pack and we will be in touch to sort out the rest. The competition will stay open until Friday 19th April and the best answer will win!

Oh my goodness I absolutely love this! I would love to be the lucky winner as I am crazily thinking about trying for baby number 2 and feel like this time around I need to pamper and look after myself better than I did the first time and getting this through the post would make sure I took time out to try out all the goodies. Ill cross my dried-up-mum fingers and in-need-of-pamper-products toes!

I’m six months pregnant and I cannot lie my beauty regime has gone out of the window. Between the morning sickness and the kind of tiredness that makes you feel like an observer of your own life time to pamper myself has gone out of the window. With 10 weeks to go this would be the perfect way to reconnect with my body and treat myself!

I would like to win this as a gift for my friend. She’s currently pregnant with her first long-awaited child, and is by some super strength coping with the fact that her dad has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. We all hope and pray he lives long enough to meet his first grandchild. I know that she’d really appreciate something every month to make her feel special!

I am 7 months pregnant with my 2nd baby. My little boy has only just turned 1 and is a handful so I never get anytime to myself to just chill and destress. This would be wonderful. I would be so nice to give myself a little attention as I approach my new little ones arrival. x
